Founded in the years following World War II, Capital Industries began as a small precision parts shop established by David Taylor Sr. to meet growing demand for replacement components across emerging industrial markets. What started in a garage-based operation quickly expanded through strong customer relationships and a reputation for dependable quality, serving industries including timber, shipbuilding, commercial fishing, and transportation.

As the company grew, leadership transitioned to the next generation, with Ron Taylor overseeing operations and David Taylor Jr. leading sales and customer development. Under their direction, Capital Industries evolved into a modern metal fabrication company focused on quality, efficiency, and long-term customer partnerships.

To support customers requiring faster turnaround times, tighter tolerances, and greater production consistency, Capital Industries made significant investments in advanced fabrication technologies and streamlined manufacturing processes. High-powered laser systems, plasma cutting equipment, automated production systems, and precision forming capabilities positioned the company to meet the evolving demands of industrial manufacturing and just-in-time supply chains.

Continued investment in equipment and capabilities has remained a core part of the company’s growth strategy. Capital Industries expanded its forming capacity with twin Cincinnati press brakes capable of forming 56-foot metal sheets, allowing the company to take on larger, more complex fabrication projects while maintaining precision and efficiency at scale.

Today, Capital Industries builds on more than 70 years of manufacturing experience and operational expertise. With the next generation of leadership now involved in the business, the company remains focused on delivering precision fabrication, consistent quality, responsive service, and the manufacturing capabilities required by customers in demanding industries including waste management, aerospace, oil and gas, transportation, and industrial manufacturing.
